We also live on the North side of the Springs, in an older, established neighborhood, with TONS of kids on our street. We are in District 20 and my husband also teaches in D20. In fact, the bus stops in front of my neighbor's house, for elementary, middle and high school. We really lucked out! I also love the fact that the houses on our street have pretty big yards and I can't see any of my neighbors in my back yard (greenbelt). You won't find this with the newer homes.

If you husband is commuting early (i.e. on the road before 7am) that will help make the drive even better. I drive to South Denver once a week but I leave my house very early, at 5:15am, so no traffic for me, going or coming home.

Would you mind sharing the name of your preschool? You can DM me if you like. Right now I'm pulling my hair out trying to narrow down elementary schools so I haven't even started any pre-school searches!

We just got back from a quick trip to check out neighborhoods, and I did like the Briargate area. Also drove around the Rockrimmon area saw deer crossing the street several times - everything was just beautiful! I noticed a YMCA over by Briargate, the Villa Sport, and there is a rec center up there too (I think?) - does the NW side have these things too, or a neighborhood with a pool? Loved all the trails and open space over by rockrimmon, but it seems briargate might have more kids playing in the neighborhoods? I'm having a hard time narrowing down areas!!
