He was running for state senate and lost, but isn't he still a local rep in the state house of representatives?

Only until his term is up this November.

Nope. That term is up in November - edit to note that Bluescreen and I posted at the same time. GK chose to run for the State Senate seat instead of for re-election to the State House. BTW, according to the Colorado Legislative Council, he wouldn't have hit his term limits on his House seat until 2022, but he went for the brass ring of a State Senate seat instead of re-election to the House. And lost.

Thank you. Whack jobs of ANY variety are not what we need in our governments.

A slight correction to the above.

I believe that technically, the current House terms aren't up until January, but unless there's a special session of the General Assembly called before January, it doesn't mean much in practical terms. AFAIK, the newly elected and re-elected members of the State House are sworn in the day the General Assembly term begins, which I think is January 11, 2017.

So GK's still in office as a state representative but I'm not sure that has much practical effect at this point. Though if they still have those special license plates I guess he is still using his.
