Red face Catholic schools comparison vs Academy District

I am looking for any information on quality of education in any/all of the Catholic grade schools in Colorado Springs - comparing them to one another and a comparison to District 20 schools. Such as enrichment programs offered, test score comparisons, percentages of alumni who graduate from high school and then college, student population diversity, extracurricular activities/sports available, which school an outsider would adjust to faster/easier, any "bad" information out there regarding any of the schools.

Any websites that would have this information?

Plan is to move sometime between jan 07 to june 07 to 80924 zip. Have a 4th grader and Pre-K.

Default Catholic Schools in Colorado Springs

I'm from Illinois and attended Catholic schools for my entire pre-college education there. I moved to Colorado Springs after graduating from Stanford in 1985 with an MSEE. I have 4 children and they attend Corpus Christi Catholic School. In terms of academics, I would say that the elementary schools are on par with District 20 schools. You can meet with any of the principals from the Catholic schools and they can show you the school test scores. The Catholic schools' students rate in the top 25% in test scores. District 20 schools can probably meet the needs of children that have special needs better because of their larger size.

Check out www.corpuschristicos.org for more information on Corpus Christi Catholic Church and school.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at tresman@att.net.
