I am an LPN working on my RN at this present moment. I am seriously thinking to move our of Los Angeles, CA. cost of living have skyrocket. I should finish with RN school by may 2016. I currently have and LVN license in CA and LPN license in Colorado. I like if any nurse have done this transition. If so, I like to know the the primary thing. Average salary for any LPN and RN particular psychiatric, and the demand for nurses. Is it easy to find employment, especially for hispanic nurses.

COS tends to be fairly homogenous racially when it comes to employment. If you can do the job, your ethnicity tends to be a non issue. However, if you can speak two languages, that can certainly be an advantage, but will not necessarily make you a preferred candidate if your credentials are lacking.

I can't speak to nursing in particular, but it does seem there is a general shortage and anyone I've know who has entered those programs has found employment fairly rapidly. I have no idea about the pay.

You might try checking nursing employment in Colorado springs in the online yellow pages. I know there are several agencies in town who specialize in this vocation.
