Well, here in the USA we have a lot of folks who buy pets and do not have a clue as to how to raise them properly (esp. dogs).

They think they magically raise themselves even if left in the back yard all day w/ no walks outside of the back yard EVER.

Then they wonder why the dog barks all day and snarls at people and other dogs when out in public.

Can't wait to see some of these pets at the new restaurant (or maybe NOT).

If you do not have a 2 hour MINIMUM training time every day w/ a young puppy (to properly train it) then you have no reason to even own one.

Get a cat!

I was thinking the same thing. In Germany, the dogs just lie quietly under the table and you hardly even notice they are there.

Hopefully the restaurant here will have strict rules that they enforce if people come with misbehaving dogs.

In my experience, most people who leave their dogs in the backyard all day aren't the types to seek out a restaurant where they can take their dogs.

I love my dogs, but I'd never want to take them out to eat with me. Nor would I want to do so around others pets for the simple reason that there are too many owners who do not take the training of their pets, nor the managing of their pets in public, seriously.

When we visit Burlingame, CA many people take their designer dogs to restaurants that accomodate them at tables outside.

The dogs are well mannered and just lie on their cushions. Kids come by and many times the owners let the kids give a pet.
