Question Made in the Springs?

Hello All,

My husband will be flying in next week to househunt. Think we will be joining those of you in D38, we are very excited! Anyway...just wanted to know if Colorado Springs (or surrounding areas) have anything they are known for making? For example...I always buy See's candy when in California. We are in Germany currently so I was thinking it would be nice to bring back something for teacher gifts before we leave here. Any ideas would be great....could be jelly, honey candles....I have no idea what is made out there.

Thanks!
Becky

The Olympic Training Center and the Air Force Academy both have nice gift shops. The stuff is not made here but does tie to COS. Other than that, maybe Van Briggle Pottery. They been here since 1899.

In Monument (I think) there are a lot of art/pottery type places from local artists (one of them is my friend's wife).

Here's her stuff:

Yessy > Ann-Marie Luksic

Other things made in Colorado Springs (found by simpling googling "made in Colorado Springs") are:

Shoot the Moon - Home

Colorado Springs Clothing & Accessories Custom Made by Grayboxx

Information - Silver Surfer Vaporizer

Tenon Cutter on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

At Home : Marinades / Rubs : Smoking Foods in Your Kitchen : Home & Garden Television

"Garden of the Gods pottery" - Google Search
