To people that golf, how many months of the year can you golf? Do the courses close down at certain times? When the weather is nice, is it hard to get tee times? Is there any concern about other courses closing permanently?

I haven't heard any rumors of closures recently - I think that was kind of all back about 10 year ago - maybe during the recession time or even earlier. I'm not a golfer but I have a friend who is and I think he golfs at Patty Jewett during most months of the year if there isn't snow - not sure though.

You can golf year round, providing there is no snow on the grounds. Difficulty of getting tee times really depends. If it is really nice weather, it can create a run on times when a course really isn't prepared for it. Smaller, private, HOA based , or poorly run courses are always at risk of closing. With over 20 courses in the region, there are plenty to choose form.

I live on a golf course and their is activity mostly except for a few months in the winter when their is snow and it is cold. Weather does limit some activities but not all. I have not heard of an issues except during prime time when everyone wants to golf.
