We previously lived in a city where the closest grocery was just a few blocks away and other choices within a 1-2 mile drive or bike ride. Since we love to cook, it was a priority to buy a house here within closer proximity to several grocery stores. Would love to see something go in where that Nevada Fillmore KMart sits. Aldi? Another Sprouts? Or even something a little less corporate.

Gotta wait until Sears decides to unload it. My understanding is that store is actually a fairly profitable K-Mart.

Aldi, don't know them, but odds are they will expand in Denver long before they consider the Springs. Its along haul from Kansas City to the Front Range.

Sprouts and king sooper are a little over 2 miles apart, it's not that much of a drive.

Ok...let's see. We have to go through a lot more streets, etc to get to sprouts and its about twice as far from us than kings Soopers but whatever . Not really sure why you want to argue this point. Is it super far, no. But on an icy day I'll take a 2 mile dive vs a 4 mile drive to pick up something if I need it.
