I came from california. my husband was in the military and we moved around all over the south for quite some time. we had been stationed here in 99 and when we got divorced 3 years ago I moved back here, I hate the cold, but love the view. I consider moving back to Cali every now and again, but its been 10 years since I have been there, not to mention the stigmatizing cloud of cali natives heads.... uhg!

I came from Geneva OH to CS in may 2000, to july 2006 .personally i love the city ,only problem you get is its NOT like ohio at all..you really never have to leave CS for anything..it is beautiful ,i wish i was back there! in OH you have to go to different towns for different things..in the springs you just have to go to a different part of the city..so you really never leave..I still go there on vacation tho!

Yeah, that dates me.
Went to Grand Junction and loved it there but a job transfer too me to Denver. That didn't work out very well so after some time I came back home as I was floundering. I would totally go back to Grand Junction but "stuck" here for a while.
I love it though, it's still my home town.

I was born in a house on Conejos Street which is now the power plant and that old Air Force facility used to be ENT Air Force Base which did more than house airmen and was where I worked my first government job back in the 60's.
I love my home town too

Moved here from Cleveland, Dec 04. I love it, with the exception of inferior restaurants and general lack of culture/happenings. oh yeah, and the expense.
I may be moving due to SO's job.

BUT, I'll have you know that we bought an exisitng home from a family of 4, and there are just 2 of us, so the population of CO is -2 with no new sctructural development thanks to us. I always feel the need to explain that, like a disclaimer to say -- 'I'm not your typical obnoxious CA'an'. Obnoxious, yes, typical, no.

NW Iowa! Lived there all my life. Glad glad glad to be here! I like the weather, the sunshine, the fact that I don't live in a swamp with corn growing in it anymore. I love the snow, but Iowa snow is no fun. You can't do anything with it. Me and the boyfriend needed a change, and we always vacation here, so we figured, why not? Looking back, I wish I had saved money like I wasn't going to work for 6 months, but, once I've got an idea in my head, typical me to not think it through! We love the mountains, and are big snowboarders, so eventually, we are thinking about moving further into the range. But for now, we will be happy to live here!

I was born and raised here, so were my parents and some of my grandparents. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Came from Indiana in July of 1995 and work in the Tech field. I recently became unemployed in January. Have not had any interviews since April and I am unfortunately looking to move. What I see on the tech field, the only happening place is the DC Metro area. Such a different world there versus COS. My plans is if I work in the DC area is to keep my house in COS and just rent in DC. Hopefully my workplace will be nice enough to let me take a Thu/Fri and a Mon off every so often so I fly back for a weekend.
One thing I remembered when I moved to COS in 1995 - how casual dress is so well acceptable just about anywhere even the very nice restaurants and how friendly most people were at that time. I know casual dress is not to well accepted in the DC area versus COS.
