Just moved here a month ago from Sioux City, Iowa. (lived in Syracuse NY briefly in '07).
I love the mountains, a bigger city (than what I am used to).....BUT it is sad to say that I might as well not get "too" cozy here as we are probably moving again in a year or so

We lived in Northern California, before we came here, but my girlfriend has lived here ten years.

Originally from Texas, then Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cleveland OH, back to San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta and then finally Colorado Springs. We've been here six years and it's been the best six years of our lives. Colorado Springs is a wonderful place to live if you enjoy the outdoors. Hiking trails galore and abundant sunshine. Winters are mild, snow doesn't stay on the ground a long time, and the summers are glorious. A great place for dogs, many beautiful dog parks. We're retired so the job market isn't an issue for us. No big traffic problems either. We live on the west side in the foothills and it's very beautiful. We've lived in a lot of nice areas in the country, but this is by far our favorite and the place we will continue to call home.

Born and raised in Wichita, KS. Moved to Lansing, MI when I was 15. Graduated from college in Michigan, then moved to Las Vegas within a few months with the future wife. Lived in Las Vegas for almost 4 years. The wife didn't like Vegas so it was her turn, she chose Colorado. I got a job in Cripple Creek (IT manager for one of the casinos), so we are now in Woodland Park. Wife is an ER nurse at the hospital here. So far we like it, but who knows where we will go next. Lots of nice places to explore out there, but I have a feeling we'll be here for at least 5 years. Phew!

I'm originally from Irving, Texas (right outside Dallas). I lived there my whole life before I joined the Air Force. I first visited Colorado when I was 10 (went skiing at Crested Butte..it was a lot different in 1973!) and fell in love with the mountains. Ever since then I always dreamed of living in Colorado. During my 20 years in the Air Force, 13 of those were spent in Texas!!!! I really didn't mean for that to happen. For crying out loud, I'm a native Texan...been there done that...wanted to see something else. When I had a chance to be stationed in Colorado for my last four years in the AF, I jumped at the chance....and never left after I retired. I love it here.

I have lived in Maryland, Georgia, Korea and then Lousiana. I can honestly say the Springs has been the best place all around to live. It is a little tough to find great places to eat but there is a few out there.

I am moving to the Springs late next week. I have lived in Aspen, CO, Fort Collins, CO, Madison, WI, Coral Gables, FL, Fond du Lac, WI and DeKalb, IL. I am originally from Rockford, IL in northern Illinois. No it's not a Chicago suburb.
