Where did you come from to move to Colorado Springs?
Where are you originally from? And for however many years you've lived in Colorado Springs, how do you like it now.I came to COS from Cleveland. At first when I moved to Colorado Springs I didn't really like it.It wasn't really that I didn't like it,it was just the fact that I had a bad attitude that really kept me from liking Colorado Springs. But now that I've lived here for three years I love living here.I changed my attitude up.I stopped always thinking of moving back to Cleveland and it helped me start to like it out here. Now I plan on staying in Colorado.

Short Version: Came here from the DC metro area, was there for 31 years. Before that I spent 26 years growing up and working in Baltimore, another eastern steel, industrial and railroad center like Cleveland. Been here 2.5 years, near Pine Creek HS. Love it here, ain't going back east, except for graduations, funerals and crabcakes.

I came here from new york to woodland to colorado springs. I've been in new york for all my life, until I moved down here to woodland for work purposes. I then shortly (this year) moved to colorado springs. I love it. I really enjoy living in colorado. New york is nice, but its nice to get away from the huge city and stay in a more controlled one.

I was raised in New Jersey, and in addition to Colorado, I have lived in Texas, North Dakota, California, and New York (all due to military moves). My last assignment was at Peterson AFB, and it felt like home here, so I stayed put when I retired from the AF. I generally like a variety of activities, both indoor and out. Sports. Occassional theater. Good restaurants. I find them all in Colorado Springs (or Denver, as a minimum). I generally DON'T like big cities. Good to visit, but I'd never want to live in one. Colorado Springs fits that bill, too. I wish the ski areas were closer, but, other than that, I'm very happy here, and don't plan on leaving any time soon.

I came here from my biological mother's womb. I was born in the long-closed Eisenhower Osteopathic Hospital which is located not too far from Printer's Parkway...used be next to the long-closed Montgomery Wards and some old Air Force facitilities that used to house part of NORAD's operation in the beginnings of NORAD.
Yeah, that dates me.
Went to Grand Junction and loved it there but a job transfer too me to Denver. That didn't work out very well so after some time I came back home as I was floundering. I would totally go back to Grand Junction but "stuck" here for a while.
I love it though, it's still my home town.

Grew up in Los Angeles and Ventura County in Southern California. Wanted to get out. (It's nice to live there when you are 22 and have a decent job; After you get married and have kids and have to drive around for work, it isn't so nice.) Started applying for jobs with the big aerospace companies in Colorado Springs and Huntsville, AL. Got lucky, had two offers and accepted the second one in 2006 for a position out at Schriever AFB. Now live near Monument.
The only thing I really don't like is driving on slippery roads when it snows. I am a little worried for my kids when they start driving. We just bought an SUV with six airbags. It still isn't enough. I want 50 airbags.
I don't think the weather is that much worse here than in California. I like diverse weather. There are enough days like today (t-shirts and shorts outdoors playing basketball) in winter to satisfy me. Summers here aren't as hot as non-coastal California.

Am I abnormal?
I think for this post I must be.
I am originally from California, all over California, and I miss it.
I've been in Colorado Springs for almost 15 years and have wanted to move for the last 14.
Due to one thing or another I have been "stuck" here but I'm hoping that within the next year or so to moving.
I don't like the cold, can't stand the snow. I'm happiest in the summer when it hits 90 degrees.

Came here from Kansas. We were coming here every summer anyway for vacations, thought we might as well just move and save the gas money.
