Default Moving to Woodland Park!

So, we were planning on relocating to Colorado in the summer after our wedding. I applied for a IT manager position at one of the casinos in Cripple Creek and was quickly offered the job (hmmm wonder why?? lol).

So I'm packing up the SUV and heading out there on Saturday! I'll be living in one one of my new employer's hotel rooms for 4-5 weeks until my fiancee moves out in the beginning of May. She is a RN and said there are not many openings in her area (med/surg) at Penrose and Memorial. She did get a phone interview with the new Woodland Park hospital, but they only have part-time positions.

We want to buy a house in Woodland Park but may rent for 6 months as we figure out if the job/place is a good fit. We visited for a week in February and love it! Mike recommended us a realator and she (Joy) showed us around the area. Very helpful!

We love to bowl and the Bear Creek bowling alley is not too far from WP and is a nice little place. I see the police heavily patrol the I25 throughout town, so no speeding for me there! I swear they were writing up a ticket every time I drove by.

Well, that's all for now.

Well, Good for you Eric. I'm sure you will love Colorado. I'm kinda jealous that you'll be working in Cripple Creek. I love that town, I could spend weeks there. (and probably all my money too)

cathyclark787 is on a distinguished road
Love the area, when we built our home we rented another place by the month on homeaway, thanks mtn properties. Took 5 months for the builder to complete but so glad we did. Highland Lakes is beautiful and quiet. The downside of the area, no one has enough to do and seems to be up in everyones business....pls do volunteer work and get a life. Our boys are moving out this year and would highly recommend lots of activities for your family since the area is remote. My boys both started driving at 16 and have turned out to be fine young adults. Wish you the best in your job and move=)
