I would appreciate your input on your city. My background: I'm 34 and married no kids. Retired Navy 90% Disabled Vet. I have a BA in Business Management but currently unemployed here in Eastern NM (no jobs) and I'm also Bilingual in Spanish. I've been thru C.Springs and loved the mountains and scenery. I make 1836 a month from my disability check so are there cheap but decent apts? Just thinking bout taking a chance and move out there. Will be driving Monday to look around Co. Springs. Well any advice or input is appreciated. Thanks. God Bless America and our troops.

Hey there,

That is a hard one. What kinda work are you looking for? We are still struggling here. But I think it depends on your line of work too. I would say you can probably get an appt for $500 or so. I am not sure what your budget is. Colorado Springs is beautiful! Keep asking questions!

Because you are bilingual, you might be able to get a job at one of the call centers in Colorado Springs. It seems they provide the only new source of jobs around here.

I'm sure there would be something here for you, it is just a matter of how much time one has to find it - something would come along for sure, but whether or not it would come along within a particular short time-window is a bit of a gamble. Enjoy your visit!

I think Homes for sale and apartments for rent – Move.com has got a good selection of rentals. You might also try some outlying areas like Fountain. You'll find plenty of military company and the cost of living is a bit less than Colorado Springs proper.
