If you bought your house in the last few years, you might ask your realtor. They usually have a list of contractors they use, and radon mitigation is common.



Also, if your house is fairly new, less than 15 years old, it might already have a passive system installed as the entire state of Colorado is in the radon mitigation zone. If you have a passive system and are getting high radon readings, all it might need is the addition of a fan that runs 24/7. That is what happened with our house. The fan is installed into the vent piping from the underslab ventilation system, and lasts 6 to 7 years. Ours cost about $100 to replace, and I did it myself.
