I can't speak for everyone else, but personally ... I can't handle how big Denver has gotten and how insane the traffic is. (I've always been a small town girl). So you should take any advice/suggestions I give with that in mind. I've heard nothing bad about Parker and I'm not even that familiar with it. I just know I don't like driving up, in and around Denver anymore.

It sounds like you're on the right track and I'm sure things will work out. You won't know until you're here how you'll feel about any given place. Even if you start up there, doesn't mean you can't check things out in the Springs (or elsewhere) and make decisions then. Your health has to come first.

TiaLia, We're all rooting for you. My sister beat some nasty breast cancer 6 years ago, you can too.

If you're from a low level area you need to drink a lot of water when you get here to preclude altitude sickness. Sun is very strong in COLO, thinner air, so sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are rather essential. If you are prone to nosebleeds from dry air then use saline nasal spray to prevent that as a newbie to COLO.

Fingers crossed....

Do you have health insurance that would restrict where you go?

No, I can go anywhere. My Primary is Medicare and I will apply for Medicaid. My income SSDI $750.00, I'm 56.
