The more I look at the map the more I can't find a plausible alignment for Powers east of Hwy 83. It seems they'd have to tear down some fairly new homes to push the road through to I-25. This has got to be some of the worst highway planning and zoning I've ever seen.

As far as 60 acres, about the only spot that looks large enough is the land bounded by I-25 on the east, Baptist Road on the north, Hay Creek Rd on the west, and Northern Boundary Rd on the south (USAF Academy border). But that is not within the city limits of COLO SPGS, which generally begins just south of North Gate Blvd.

they left a path through Flying Horse for Powers, and the developer of the parcel between Voyager and the Freeway has already built an overpass for Powers to go under.
