Head over to the Texas board and see how many CO people are wanting to move to TX. Seems like everyone is looking for that "perfect" place. We complain about the cold and the Texans are complaining about the heat We are facing the decision to move to warmer weather, so moving out of Colorado Springs. The reality is nobody can make that decision for you because people have different ideas of what is a good quality of life.

Denver is WAY too big. Way too much traffic to deal with on a regular day basis, IMO. It's an easy 1:15hr commute to downtown Denver from the Springs, which is doable to go see a sporting event or visit friends.

We live in Woodland Park, a small 7000 town 20miles west of Colorado Springs at 8500'. Everything you need is here and only a 15 minute drive to the edge of the Springs.

Texas was also on our list of places to move, but the hot summers and humidity turned us off.

What is your housing budget for rent or purchase?
Are you getting a relocation package? If not, the cost to move is about 8%-10% the price of your home.
What are the kids' ages?
He works for Agilent and they are relocating his job. He is in IT and I am a teacher. We have our house on the market right now, and they are paying for us to move. My kids are 4 1/2 and 9. I really want to know if the schools are as great as people have said on the forums. I am also curious from a teacher perspective which school districts are considered the "good ones" to work for and why.

Thank you all for any feedback and information you can provide.
