What I've always found fascinating is that electric cars were introduced way back in the late 19th century. Of course they needed to evolve in order to beat Henry Ford's prices. It's an interesting history.

Tesla opens in Colorado Springs with sales and service center

https://gazette.com/business/tesla-o...add3908fb.html

"It didn't come with the fanfare of In-N-Out, but Tesla Motors opened its Colorado Springs sales and service center Monday at 1323 Motor City Drive surrounded by the city's largest collection of auto dealers.

Tesla hasn't responded to calls or emails about the dealership, but customers Friday were speaking with sales staff and service advisors were awaiting those seeking repairs or maintenance. The sales center not only included vehicles but also Tesla's solar energy and battery equipment. The center allows consumers to see, test drive and buy Tesla vehicles and products and get a variety of service for their Tesla vehicles.

The company also operates showrooms in Littleton and Superior and inside the Cherry Creek and Park Meadows malls in the Denver area as well as nearly 140 showrooms in 31 states."

I read something somewhere that solar power for recharging stations will also happen.

Colorado Springs dealer opening used electric vehicle lot across from Tesla

https://gazette.com/business/colorad...79fe7b598.html

"Competition in the electric vehicle market is about to hit Motor City.

Phil Long Dealerships is opening an electric vehicle used car location in Motor City across from Tesla’s new showroom that opened in January, launching a competition between the electric vehicle giant and southern Colorado’s largest dealership group. The Phil Long EV Outlet opens Saturday at 1338 Motor City Drive, becoming the first dealership in southern Colorado to open a showroom dedicated to electric and hybrid vehicles."

"The EV Outlet will be linked to Phil Long Kia, 1020 Motor City Drive, which will provide management, finance and service support for the location and the electric and hybrid vehicles it sells. Shaughnessy said the new dealership, the 17th in the Phil Long group, will focus on electric and hybrid vehicles that are 3 years old or less so they have plenty of battery life left before the battery will need to be replaced.

The location also will feature six to 10 electric vehicle charging stations that are expected to be installed in the next few months."
