Are you referring to the stretch between Parker and Monument?

Default Denver is a nice city...

Driving through Miami (sorry if I offend) One might wonder if you can ever get out of there alive, let alone back to the turn you just missed! People will cut you off, even swerve at you if you get in their way.

Denver, although a large, bustling city, did grab me as a nice place, although any place large has traffic and bad drivers. My friend lived up in Lakewood area, and earlier in the eastern side of town, so I have seen those two sides. It seemed nice to me. But drive through Phoenix, LA, San Diego, San Francisco, Nashville, Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, Kansas City, and you will think the same thing. It's a city. My impression, although short-lived was that it was a great place to live.

I am just choosing Colorado Springs cause if you go from a small town of 39,000, it might be a better step up, not to mention you got land and a better chance of seeing it (straight from my friend in Denver) on the weekends in the Springs. Much better chance of a day hike and heading home for a movie, I guess is a good way of saying it.

Good luck with your choice!

This is what I want to know too. I don't want to bar hop all night looking for a good relationship. I mean I'm up for a good time, but staying up to 4 am 'partying' isn't my idea of one. Meh....

Hey, I am so happy to receive all these responses, you're all amazing, I appreciate all of the insight!

Me - no I don't drink, I don't go to bars or clubs... I also have the been there done that attitude, and I want to be around more conservative, non-pot smoking types.

About the guy with the phd who smokes pot and sings who wanted to move back to Seattle...
I guess, we're switching places! and yes, I have run into too many pot smokers here...

I like the more conservative outlook on life.
It was a bit hard for me in SF bay area.
I was a deep down conservative kid, and my mind opened a lot... in good and bad ways...
I just like to keep to myself and keep quiet...

I am not really concerned about peoples religions...
I am more interested to know about this "family first thing"...
whats going on?
Are men stealing womens husbands? Are women chasing married men?
Is this happening sooo much in that area, that there's a huge issue?
Or is it just that they're more "Aware" and cautious and have that street smart outlook to know what goes on?

My eyes are open... but I don't foresee myself wearing a bumper sticker to ward women off my future dream man..
but naturally, I empathize with them...

how about floods and tornadoes?
How bad is it?
What are the real dangers to think about?
THANK YOU!!!!

The last season/summer we had that it flooded pretty bad was about 10-11 years ago. And even then, the water rose on the streets and it wasn't BAD. Tornadoes...grin. Anything is possible...but it isn't a real problem here. We had a twister his Ellicot HS back in 2001 and every summer we have a few that go through Hanover. Shoot, we even had one in Woodland Park! But, in all honesty, tornadoes are the last thing on our mind- drought is our issue right now. We all want to water our lawns and play in the water but you can't do that in COS. We don't have water restrictions in Ftn though...yipee!

One thing about COS that not a lot of its fans will tell you is that it only has one freeway - I25 - which runs north to south. So anytime you need to get across town it's stoplights galore. Denver is much larger, but has a public rail and a better road system, including a bypass tollway express to the airport. That may or may not be a big deal to you, but it's something to consider.
