Silly questions about FOOD!!!!
So I'm considering moving to Colorado Springs from Manhattan. I'm originally from Texas though, so my silly questions are these:
1) Is Dr. Pepper commonly found at restaurants? It's a staple in Texas, but almost non-exsistent here in Manhattan. You rarely find it here in restaurants.....which is difficult for me, being a complete addict!
2) Are there any good places for hot wings?
3) Lastly, are there any good places for Southern-style meals? (i.e. fried chicken, chicken fried steak, bbq)
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hot Wings are my fave! They are found everywhere!
I'm not so sure about Dr. Pepper..I am drinking a diet one right now, funny!
As far as southern food, I'd say..The Black Eyed Pea.

Dr. Pepper is available everywhere. You'll not have any problem there.

I like Buffalo Wild Wings on N. Academy (roughly across from Home Depot, near Academy and Woodmen). They have cheap prices on Tuesdays, 99 cents I think, or maybe it's something like all you can eat? Can't remember.
As for southern food, I do like Red, Hot and Blue, also on N. Academy, near Academy and Austin Bluffs. Kids eat free on a certain day, can't remember. They have great pulled pork sandwiches, fried okra, etc.

Not necessarily true. Sure, it's available to purchase at every grocery store. The question was is it available at restaurants. Our nephews visit us from San Antonio every summer. When we go out to eat they always ask for Dr. Pepper first. I'd say 8 out of 10 restaurants don't have it. The servers think Mr. Pibb is the same thing... which as Texans know, it is not.

1) Dr. Pepper is served in probably about 50% of the restaurants - just depends on whether they have Pepsi or Coke products. 2) I don't eat hot wings but I've seen lots of places. 3) There are a few soul food restaurants and some regular restaurants with that kind of food.

There are 2 Texas Roudhouse locations in Colorado Springs, and 1 in Monument.

I almost forgot about the Black Eyed Pea since the one in Boulder closed a few years ago. I think there are two locations in the Springs. You're probably familiar with them since they started in Texas way back when. I always thought they made a pretty good chicken fried steak.

Black eyed pea? Dr. Pepper? Why move here? I would prefer someone from Manhattan bring their food tastes myself.
