Default Fridays are for snow...

Well, I'm sitting here looking at the weather report. According to Yahoo Weather (based on the The Weather Channel), more snow is going to hit starting tomorrow night and continuing through the weekend.

For those of you who don't live in Colorado Springs, this is not typical. We usually don't get this much snow, this quickly.

In fact, for those of you who have been in CSpgs for a while, when do you remember getting 4 snow storms in 4 weeks? I have been here for 7 years and don't remember anything like this.

Who is excited and who just wants to stay home and wish it away?

Heck, been here 38 years (except 5 years in Grand Junction and Denver but still spent a lot of time in C Springs because of work and family then).

This is definately weird man. It's not usual at all.

I kinda like it, I kinda don't. Mostly because I miss my Suburban and/or my Chevy ext cab, long bed, 454, 4x4 truck. But alas I drive a Honda Accord that needs some work and while I got stuck two blocks from my house during the first storm, I am okay with it. "She" has been really good for the most part during these storms.

Although I am ready for some of those famous really wacky HOT spells we can get on occasion like in 1992 or 1993. I remember it was 72° on Christmas Eve and I was sweating up a storm of my own in a new sweater that I got for the day.

I have most of what I need for the next five days but need to run to the store tomorrow to get a few things I forgot today.

Oh well. At least the majority of stuff is taken care of. I will not make the mistake of trying to get in and out of my nieghborhood come Saturday if the snow is of any measure over 8".

It's Friday morning and it's starting to snow.

Good thing I have enough food, smokes and wine to last me through the weekend. Looks like the rough stuff will happen tomorrow but hey, it's starting to snow here.

Ugh.
