I personally get tired of the memorial park fireworks show and the crowds. Head on down to Pueblo for their fireworks show, it's awesome. they shoot them off over the riverwalk there, lots of vendors food, and YOU CAN EVEN DRINK BEER!! Cops are everywhere, I felt very safe. Colorado Springs you can't drink beer in the park, darn bible thumping town.

Last year we got a two-fer by parking on a lot on Struthers Rd, just off Old North Gate Road (I-25, exit 156). You can see the office building from I-25. We watched the USAF Academy fireworks, and as soon as they ended, fireworks began at Flying Horse, an upscale housing area further east on Old North Gate Rd. No crowds, no walking, no police, 3 miles from home. Tailgate if you wish.

Put your beer/wine in a water bottle and no one will be the wiser

We did the Struthers Road deal again last night to watch the USAFA fireworks, which started at 9:30 PM and lasted 20 minutes. Then at 10PM the Flying Horse fireworks started, giving viewers in that area a twofer.

Glad you enjoyed the fireworks at Skysox Stadium, can't beat sitting in your car watching the show, then drive away in little traffic.
