Do you mean what neighborhood? There are no "suburbs" here.

It's all Colorado Springs.

Based on this and other posts I've read by you, I say stay in Louisville.

saxluva i don't get your suggestion to me to stay in Louisville especially since the guy shows the crime index being lower in Col. Springs. I guess I should stay where the crime is higher. I had read the crime was lower in Col. Springs but the posts about crime being on the increase had me concerned. That's all. But in the end there were many other reasons to consider this move. I have appreciated these boards though for inside info from you who live there.

louisvillemom alot of these are just opinions so it is yours that truely matters. I would visit a few times if possible so that you are sure in your heart and mind it is the place you want to move too.

I'm sorry Louisvillemom. I'm very sarcastic by nature and a lot of times my dry humor doesn't come thru when written. My son is a police officer right outside Louisville so I have some idea of how things are there. My only concern is when everyone started talking about getting a weapon. A weapon in the hands of someone who is scared and insecure about their surroundings is very dangerous. I also did not mean to imply that I wished you personal harm by suggesting you stay in the higher crime area. My intent was that if you are that unsure, don't make the move. But you're not going to gain any confidence by listening to people on a post, opinions are generally biased. Come out visit and find for yourself, get some confidence, and make a decision. Bad things happen to all of us at one time or another. Some more than others, but you gotta get back up on that horse and ride. Bottom line is, toxicavenger is correct. You have to make the choice.

Thanks Saxluva for the clarification. How do you personally feel about the Springs, crime, weather and all? How long have you lived there? How does your son perceive crime in this area?
