I can get 2 for one's during happy hour at the Dublin House. Way CHeaper than Security Field, and one hell of a shorter drive.

Hell, I got my whole week planned with bars. Tuesday night, Rowdy's penny pitchers, wed, Good Company $2 drafts, thursday night, Mile High, penny pitchers and free wells.

I could go on and on

Ryan, I just moved to COS. What are some good bars to go to? I LOVE good beer, we have an English bar here in Des Moines, and I love it. Anything like that in COS? I'm into a chill kinda place....

Not sure if we have any English pubs, but I wouldn't be suprised.

What part of COS do you live in? There's alot of bars downtown, and lots scattered all over the city too.

Really? I work and live near there. I actually work at the Chapel Hills auto mall, for Saturn.

PF Changs is up on Briargate Parkway, in the Promenade Shops plaza.

A really cool bar and restaraunt called Chammps is right next door to PF changs.

Not sure how "English" it is, but Jack Quinn's Irish Pub down around the 200 block of S Tejon St has lots of Guinness on tap, real Irish pub food, and authentic decor brought in from Ireland. Sunday afternoons there's live music.

Eaten there many times for my corned beef and cabbage fix. There is a runner's group that meets there certain evenings.

---------------

Ryan, you'll see many cases where these chains have locations next to each other, sometimes they are part of the SAME large corporation. They'll often buy up several "pad" sites to build on. Chaing's is currently a solo company, but once they grow the chain, look for it to become part of one of the big holding companies. Champp's was a solo company but was recently bought by F&H Acquistion Corp. F&H is the parent corporation of Fox & Hound Restaurant Group, which operates 88 pub-themed restaurants in 25 states under the Fox & Hound(R) and Bailey's Pub & Grille(R) brand names. F&H is owned by two equity sponsors, Newcastle Partners, L.P., Steel Partners II, L.P., and the management of F&H. Both Chaing's and Champps are concepts that are allowed to grow or die on their own, and if they succeed they are brought into the larger organization that may already be an investor. So, the moral of the story, if these two chains are next to each other, it probably is not a mere coincidence - not when million$ are at stake.

Here's a list I put together for my investing uses:

OSI Restaurant Partners, Inc. engages in the ownership, development, operation, and franchise of casual dining restaurants. As of December 31, 2005, the company operated 775 domestic Outback Steakhouses, 140 international Outback Steakhouses, 200 Carrabba’s Italian Grills, 90 Bonefish Grills, 39 Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bars, 20 Roy’s, 3 Lee Roy Selmon’s, 4 Paul Lee’s Chinese Kitchens, and 27 Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurants in the United States and 21 countries internationally. OSI Restaurant Partners was formerly known as Outback Steakhouse, Inc. and changed its name to OSI Restaurant Partners, Inc. in April 2006. The company was incorporated in 1987 as Multi-Venture Partners, Inc. and is headquartered in Tampa, Florida

Brinker International, Inc. primarily engages in the ownership, operation, development, and franchising of restaurant concepts in the United States. It operates restaurants under the names of Chili's Grill & Bar, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Maggiano's Little Italy, On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, and Corner Bakery Cafe restaurant concepts. The company also has a 43% interest in Rockfish Seafood Grill restaurant. As of June 29, 2005, Brinker International operated 1,588 jointly-developed and franchised restaurants located in Washington, D.C., Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Egypt, Great Britain, Germany, Guatemala, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela. The company was founded in 1977 and is based in Dallas, Texas.

Darden Restaurants, Inc. engages in ownership and operation of casual dining restaurants in the United States and Canada. As of May 29, 2005, the company operates 1381 restaurants under the following names 679 Red Lobster, 563 Olive Garden, 32 Bahama Breeze, 104 Smokey Bones, and 3 Seasons 52. The company was incorporated in 1968 and is based in Orlando, Florida.
