Pleasent people
I dont want to offend anyone and I really dont want people to take this the wrong way. honestly. I am new here I grew up in Ohio lived in Florida Indiana and Wisconsin.
I just am really wondering if I have just been having bad luck or are people sorta rude here. Most employees here at alot of stores just seem very unhappy and like they dont want to be working or maybe just not happy in life at all. I run across alot of just rude people and then very snobby people.
I thought maybe I was being mean and judgemental at first , but I had a friend from out of state come visit me and she noticed it. Then I had relatives here just a few weeks back and they said something about it as well. But they also added to the rudness factor that all services in stores and restaurants seem slow and people drive slow.
Does anyone else that is NOT from here notice this?

I have found 95% of the people I have encountered in CO to be polite, helpful, and sincere. There are jerks and snobs everywhere, but overall I find Coloradans to be pleasant. There is the rather dismissive "uh huh" instead of you're welcome or goodbye, and that can be interpreted as rude until you get used to it. I will agree that no one's in a rush to do anything here, everything is sloooow. I'm used to a frenetic pace.

I have also noticed that people take the "right on red" rule very seriously, as in whenever there is a red light anywhere, they turn right, even if I have my little green left "its your turn, left-turner!" arrow. Why is this? Maybe it's just summertime that makes people crazy....

I've found people here to be WAAAAY polite and nice, especially in stores.
Back east, in the DC area, you'd be "lucky" if a clerk even grunted at you.

Just moved here in June and my husband and I both have commented on many occasions how helpful and friendly the people are! We have had excellent service over and over....maybe you are shopping in the wrong areas ??!!

We've lived in many states, the one previous to this one was NM.
It took MONTHS for us to stop commenting daily on how friendly and helpful people are here. We drove through NM, AZ and CA during spring break and couldn't wait to get back here where people aren't rude and service people actually know that their attitude affects their tip!
