Default Hockey in CS

Im thinking about moving to the CS area from Tucson, az. All we have here for hockey is 1 roller hockey rink. I like roller hockey but I miss the ice. Where are the hockey rinks, roller or ice, in CS? What rinks have better adult hockey leagues? We just have 7 to 10 week, completely unorganized leagues. No matching jerseys, stacked teams sandbagging in lower divisions, poor A/C makes for extreme games in the summer, sometimes lucky to fill teams or have enough players show up to prevent forfeits. I could go on and on with the problems here. Im hoping its better there!

There are 5 rinks in the Colorado Springs area all of which run some sort of adult leagues. The rinks are: Honnen Ice rink on the Colorado College Campus, World Arena Ice Hall (3 rink complex), Sertich Ice Rink, Air Force Academy Ice Rink and Colorado Sports Center in Monument.

Honnen probably has the highest level of hockey with the Jim Campbell league. A lot of former junior/college/pro and high school players are here. The campbell league has Wed and Sun night leagues.

There is a second league at Honnen which operates on Mon and Thur nights. They have novice and intermediate divisions.

At World Arena an intermediate league operates Mon-Thur.

At Sertich an over 40 league operates from March to end of May.

At Colorado Sports Center there are two leagues. Sunday nights there is a novice league. Mon-Thurs there is a Int/Adv league.

At the Air Force Academy the Canadian military runs a league called NORAD. This is undoubtedly the most organized league in town. It operates from Sept to May with games Sun evenings.

There are also two inline rinks here. One at CSC and the other at a place called Tour. Tour has a pretty extensive adult league Mon-Fri evenings.

There is also pickup at various times at most rinks.
