I have two friends that are relocating to Colorado in the next 6 months and have this same problem. I do not understand the discrimination against certain breeds of dogs in some areas, mostly based on fear. The national statistics don't support the bans that you often see. For the record, I have never owned a pitbull or any other breed of so-called 'dangerous' dogs but have spent a lot of time around them. It is fear-based, but whatever, you have to work around that. While I don't know specifics, you will probably have significantly better luck if you were to look at stand-alone homes to rent, they are often more forgiving for pets rather than apartment buildings, even small ones. Search craigslist.com and rentals.com extensively, you will hopefully find what you are looking for in the price range you need. That is how I found my house that I am renting which coincidentally has no pet restrictions.

You might try contacting the Humane Society-Pikes Peak region to learn if they have information about pet friendly options.

The only other thing I can think of is to offer the potential landlord an additional deposit.
Good luck to you.

Two Pits and two cats? Wow, that alone should stifle anyone believing the hype. Seeing they'd have cat snack fun the fact that they live together says a lot. If you want small and want to move to Canon I might be of help. Good luck with the search.

I don't think anyone here in the Colorado Springs forum can help you with housing in Sacramento.
