So what are some of the universities/colleges in that area? I am interested in doing my Masters degree in Urban Planning and Design, and I may be able to transfer to a job in the Colorado Springs area.So what schools are there, and how far of a drive is it to Denver?

The two major ones are University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and Colorado College. Denver is generally considered to be an hour's drive from Colorado Springs, depending where in Denver and where in the Springs you're headed to/from.
