Thumbs up Time to post must-dos at holiday time

Thought we would repost must-do/try for newbies for the holiday season!

Church of the Nazerne has a "drive thru" Christmas scene by the SAMS club on S. Academy. Very cool for the kiddos because the living characters (commercial and religious) holler out to your kids "Merry Christmas Suzie! Donations accepted at the end of the "ride".

Winter Wonderland production put on by New Life Church is a must see. Excellent performance for the price.

Seven Falls has a beautiful Christmas display also.

Anybody know of any homes that are light up that are must see drive bys?

What else am I missing?

Where is the fruitcake toss? Manitou??

The annual fruitcake toss is in Manitou Springs on 03 Jan 2009.

There is a house in Pine Creek that really is a MUST SEE. It's been lit up now for about two weeks, will be lit up into January. The house - on all FOUR sides, the yards, the fence, the roof. Everything. Moving fixtures. Music too.

Directions: From I-25, take exit 151 (Briargate Pkwy) and go east about 1 mile. Turn LEFT onto Chapel Hills Drive. After going straight through two roundabouts, take a RIGHT onto DEERGRASS and you'll see it. You CANNOT miss seeing it.

Thanks for starting this thread froggin4colorado. I don't want to miss anything. In a couple of weeks we are going to take the cog railroad. It is a Christmas special ride with Santa and Mrs. Claus and the elves. We do not go to the summit but ride for 30 minutes and then we get out to take pictures with Santa. Hot Chocolate and Christmas cookies will be served. I am really looking forward to it. Mike from Back East as soon I read your post about the house in Pine Creek tonight my daughter and I jumped in the car to check it out. It was beyond what I expected. It was snowing while we were there and it was beautiful. Thanks.

I went to seven falls last weekend, I wasn't really impressed, at least not for the $7 fee to get in.
