What areas are growing in Colorado Springs?
Hey Anyone in Springs!
My family and I are working on relocating to Colorado Springs to start a new church and to be closer to family/friends. I am interested in knowing which areas of CSprings is growing the fastest and where most of the residential developments and schools are going up.
Also, we have a son with Asperger Syndrome (Autism) and are concerned about finding a public school with a solid Special Education Program for him. Any suggestions on schools would be greatly appreciated!
Last for now, what is the general focus of the people in CSprings? We lived in Florida surrounded mostly by wealthy retirees that cared little about young family needs and currently live in Mississippi where southern culture is wonderfully inviting and cares a lot about the family. Any enlightening thoughts???

Hey no offense, but we have enough religious groups around here. Maybe you should just move here to move here.
On the subject of Aspergers, I know of that well. A very good friend of mine, as 2 children with it.
I've heard district 11 has a great program for special needs such as autism.

Growth is mostly east and south of town, due to lower home prices in those areas and to thousands of soldiers the Army is moving into Fort Carson in the near term. You'll do fine. Suggest rent a year to find out where you really need to live.

Thanks for the advice and info ryanek9freak. I promise not to add any boring or weird religion to Springs, just a place for good folks like yourself to come hang out. You are right, Colorado is worth moving to all on its own!

Thanks Mike regarding where the growth is. Renting is a great suggestion and one we plan on taking advantage of.

We *could* use a new deity, one that worships the mighty Bison and takes communion, a lot, with Woodford Reserve bourbon.

Hi, My husband and I are in the midst of getting new orders to Fort Carson and should be relocating there by end of summer. I was concerned about this same subject. I have a four year old with aspergers syndrome as well. My first worry is the schools and what programs are avail. Thanks
