Default Cooking Classes

Are there any cooking classes in Colorado Springs? I don't mean a culinary school with a whole curriculum. In Oklahoma City we took classes from local chefs, at a few different kitchen shops. They were usually demo classes, with the chef preparing enough for everyone. It was a great social occasion and we learned a lot. We're in western Washington now and haven't found anything to compare. (We're on a peninsula, not in Seattle.) We're considering moving to the Springs and would love to get back to cooking classes.

There are some.
- Williams-Sonoma has them in their store at Briargate.
- Blue Star Restaurant on S. Tejon St has some.
- Often listed in the Gazette newspaper too.
- I've a hunch there are more. I consider them, but haven't tried any yet.

There are more in Denver, but can't recall specifics.

cindycat, I think you'd find this info on a Colorado gourmet cooking class interesting (http://mtnlodging.com/Gourmet_Cooking_Class.aspx - broken link).

In addition to the Blue Star (The Blue Star), the Warehouse does periodic classes as well (The Warehouse Restaurant Colorado Springs).

Paragon Culinary School also offers frequent single classes. They're a full-up Culinary School, but you don't need to be enrolled as a student for these individual classes/demonstrations (Paragon Culinary School (http://www.coloradoeats.com/paragonschool/publiccookingclasses.htm - broken link)).
