Default From Carbondale to Colorado Springs

HI
I am living in Carbondale, Colorado and its just too expensive 400,000 for a condo/townhouse.
I have an 11 yo son and am thinking of relocating to Colorado Springs. How close is it to skiing? We love the mountains and rural life but it would be nice to be near some shops

I've heard people say that it's a 2-hour drive to Monarch from this area.

Lots of shops here. There may be something for you up in Woodland Park, west of town, rural, close enough to shop.

Use sites like Real Estate Listings, Homes for Sale and Rental Property Listings – REALTOR.com® to get an idea of home prices. Here in COLO SPGS itself, decent TH's can be had for $150k and up, SFH's from $200k and up, some even less.

Your work will be the big issue to resolve. Tell us more and we can tell you more.

1 hour 45 minutes to Breckinridge and add another half hour to Arapahoe Basin, Keystone and Copper Mountain... 2 hours to Monarch...

Not a bad drive to any of them as long as you don't go through Denver, which can be a nightmare!

From Woodland Park I can be at Breck in 1.5hrs. It's roughly 80 miles each way. I can be in the middle of the Springs in 30 minutes.

WP has 7000 residents, a great mix of mountain and city life. It's at 8500', right under Pikes Peak. You should check it out.
