I am really looking for reviews comparing apples to apples not comparing a high priced health club with the YMCA. I realize it is costly but want to find out if it is worth it? Thanks!

You have to be fit!

I have P90X you have to be fit first before you start using it. Also, it does not include swimming pools or a basketball court, etc.

Okay, but the title of your thread says you're looking for A gym/healthclub, which would include the YMCA and other places beside Villa Sport.
If you're just looking for firsthand feedback about Villa, I can't help you, but if you want to know about some other options, I can.

I've been a member since it was new and love it. My daughters and wife are also members. It's geared more towards family and that's what we love about it so much.
It is by far the best fitness club we've been to and offers about everything possible.
Yes, it may be expensive, but if you use it a lot like we do, you'll be very pleased.

Why not take a tour, and judge for yourself. They are only month to month so you can cancel at anytime. Also you don't like it they will refund all of your money after a month. You really don't have anything to lose.

Villa Sport seems to be the premier place here, at least on the north side. Construction work stopped six months ago on the LifeTime Fitness building at Powers and Union (near Lowe's) so it may be quite a while until another primo place is up and running, and LTF is not cheap at all.

Thank you to everyone for your input.
I tried the YMCA and it was very small and crowded. Trying Villa Sport next.

Stop by VS during regular business hours (bring your family). They will give you a tour of the entire facility.
I have a 14 and 10 year old daughters and they love it there. Always something there for them to do and the oudoor pool is awesome during the summer...indoor is perfect for winter. Lot's of sports to sign up for...and lots of various exercise programs to get involved with...spinning, yoga, etc.
Have fun!
Let us all know what your thoughts are after your vist.

- $100 for a single
- $150 for a couple
- $200 for a family
