mercedes off astrozon and academy was good black stylist? They got got good business but I hope they didn't get into "funny" business to get them shut down.

Amins is also good. They're right next door. They weren't quite as ghetto as Mercedes though!

Glad I found this! I just moved here and I was a little apprehensive. Having a low Black population means nothing to me as far as socialization, but it's a different store when it comes to hair care. I got my first sew-in before we moved here to give me enough time to find someone and honestly i hate it. The hair gets tangled so easily, but I think I will try Charms. How much are the relaxers? I'm natural right now, but I really can't handle it. I love my hair natural, but it's too thick to manage on my own without a relaxer.

Default Stylist from NYC

Hi... I just moved to CO from NY. I'm a hair stylist with over 16 years exp. I love doing hair. If I might say so myself, I am really good at it. Of course because I just moved here, I'm in the process of building my clientele. I offer a wide range of hair services, relaxers, cut and style, hair coloring, pressing, weaving etc... [ mod cut ]

There are a couple of beauty schools here and surely they must cover that sort of thing. There's a Paul Mitchell near downtown on Colorado Ave. and another one (can't remember the name) over on Austin Bluffs. Be worth looking into, I think.
