Traffic
I've a native Houstonian and I just got back from job hunting in CS and Denver.
Many people would complain about the traffic in both CS and Denver.
I didn't experience any traffic where is the worst traffic? I drove the freeways during rush hour times and non rush hour times and had no problems.

Its all a matter of perspective compared to Houston we have little traffic but you can go to the smallest town and I am sure they would be complaining about traffic as well.

My definition of traffic is being PARKED on a freeway while it takes several hours to clear an accident.
The only time I got annoyed with Colorado traffic is last summer when there was alot of construction/repair work on 1-25, but still it was what I'd call traffic.
The Houston and surrounding areas have a higher population than the entire state of Colorado.
Bad traffic to me is in dallas/fort worth, L.A., boston, and if you've ever driven in any town in Mexico with any kind of population, driving in Mexico is like being in a race.

I have lived in southern California and I have been parked on the 5 for hours in LA so yes I know what its like. My point is still the same, in Pueblo if you are in a traffic jam for 10 minutes thats bad and in Denver if its a 45 minute drive from the tech center to downtown that's bad. Just what a person is use too and whats normal for the local area.

Exactly my experience, coming here from the DC area. Traffic here is a breeze. We were here THREE months before we heard a horn blow.

Next to major metro areas Colorado Springs and Denver are not bad. Colorado Springs is poorly designed. Still there is no efficient East/West thoroughfare. The roads were built when the town was much smaller - simply not designed to carry the number of cars they now do. Slowly - VERY slowly the roads are being upgraded with double turn lanes, better signs and all the uptown stuff.

In Orange County California, it used to take me 90 minutes one way for my 15 mile commute. Here my 25 mile commute takes me 35 minutes.

Honestly, unless you're from a REALLY small town, I don't think you can say the traffic in Colorado Springs is bad at all. The only time you'll get slowed down signficantly on I-25 is if there's a bad accident or maybe if there's construction, but I'd say it's pretty rare that traffic is ever at a standstill.
