Where are the worst areas of CS? Why do you consider it to be so bad?

Lived in 20 other places in the US and 6 foreign countries before CS. Colorado Springs crime is at the lower end of the places in the US I have lived.

I would say the worst area of CS would be the run down areas in South-Central Colorado Springs....although, I still go down to the area at times but havn't seen any crime myself.

Personally, I think the very high percentage of legal concealed carry permits issued in Colorado Springs probably helps keep crime down.

I moved from SoCal 15 years ago as a safe place to raise my family. The Law here is enforced very well. Almost zero grafitti, no gangs on the streets. Google CS for crime stats in El Paso County. It will show what areas to aviod. Also, as with most anywhere, the higher the homes prices, the less likely the crime infestation.

crime is kinda high in the springs i think .... it seems to be getting worse , i believe this crime is new to cos with all the cali transplants. i know we just had some mexican gang grafetti that had to be removed from pine creek high school. the crime rate seems to get alot lower the further north toward monument and castle rock and highlands ranch areas. its by no means bad here in the briargate area im just noticing more crimes being commited.
