Lightbulb VA Help

My family and I will be moving to CS next year. I am currently in the Navy stationed here in San Diego. We will be visiting CS this summer to scout out the city and try to form a plan of action. I have 2 questions 1. Has anyone ever moved to CS and been able to make ends meet using money from the GI Bill while your spouce works full-time? My wife and I will be prior Military (12 years total service combined) and she plans on getting a job as a Medical Assistant. 2. Where would be the ideal location to start looking for work in this feild in CS? Thank you in advance.

Hey there! Well we have 2 new hospitals on the north side of town. Memorial Hospital and Penrose-St. Francis Hospital. Good time to move here, with those just going up. You can do a google search and get on their website, they both have jobs listed on there. I can give you other medical buildings here if you need them. bashsep

Default VA Help

Hey thanks for the reply. I will look into the hospital employment. I was wondering if you also knew anything about former military families starting fresh in CS? Anything about using VA benefits as a source of income.

As a matter of fact we want to know if we are prior military how much help (programs) would be available to us, even though we cannot get on any of the bases?

I recommend the Fountain area while you are on one income. Brand new homes are in the 100's-low 200's. This is the southern end of Colorado Springs. (At least check into it.) I will have my husband read your post and also have him respond. We are civilians but he helps a lot of people in your situation. Please stay tuned....
