We were away in AZ to see some spring training baseball so we missed the big snow event of last Thur-Fri. Driving home Sunday evening there was nothing left of the blizzard, save a few buckets of snow here and there, else no trace of snow. It was sunny and mild (upper fifties) when we got home last evening . . . now we have a snow squall blowing through. Love it!

I don't know who is getting all this snow, but it sure isn't me

I'm sitting (dead smack on) on the Palmer Divide (Palmer Divide Trail) and snow we have been getting this year is way below normal.

I say to the weather god: BRING IT ON!

I am perhaps sitting even smack-dabbier on the divide than you and our snow has been very little. Even in last week's 'blizzard' there was not much snow accumulated. it's hard to tell because it's dry and the wind blows it off the driveway and yard to 0", but even the drift areas were no more than a foot.

Looking at the U.S. Drought Monitor, our snow levels indicate we are still in a drought. The U.S. Seasonal Drought Outlook and NOAA Climate Prediction Center give me the impression that it might be a little better going forward. It would be nice to have some real rain this summer. Last summer was pretty light.

It's almost noon over here in Grand Junction and it's been drizzling all morning with a few snowflakes mixed in. No blue sky to be seen in any direction. We need the rain! Bring it on.

In my neighborhood we had no accumulation yesterday, although the winds were blizzardy enough. But tonight we're getting the snow.

This season has been disappointing, to say the least. I'm not a fan of having 50 MPH wind and snow blowing in my face, but I do understand how important it is to have some form of snow/rain falling upon our land. This drought is not going to be much fun if it doesn't turn around soon.

It is actually quite pleasant to drive around El Paso Country when we have had a decent snow (and not too much wind). It's rather pretty really. If praying to the rain/Snow God will do the trick, count me in.
