Default Gas Prices up the Pass

Why oh why is gas cheaper in Woodland Park than down in the Springs?

Seems like there can be no logical reason for the price difference, but if there is, will someone enlighten me, please?

oddly enough, I just check out the SALES Tax rates for ColoSprings & El Paso County TOTAL: 3.5%
Woodland Park and Teller County TOTAL: 4%....hmmm.

Usually the gas stations say it is higher because "...I have to transport it farther.." when the station is outside the city, yet Crystola and Divide are notoriously lower than everyone else (thank heavens!).

I've always wondered that as well...strange!!! Could it be agreements local suppliers have made, and such agreements don't apply outside of CS???
