Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what kind of zoning would be needed for a small campsite business. I am looking for land to build a house on as well as add some camping facilites in the future.

Thanks for any help.

I would suggest asking the county offices where you are looking.

lovegirl2 - My best guess would be that the land you purchased will ultimately need to be re-zoned to R-T (based on an existing campground with a residential home on it).

El Paso County Land Use office is who you would need to speak with and they will probably ask you for the property you have in mind or at least the area you are looking into. You may even get directed to the Master Planning office. Call El Paso County Development Services Department at this number to get you started... 719-520-6300.

Good luck with this. Sounds like an exciting endeavor. Hope this helps.
