Where there's a will there's a way. I've always wanted to live in Colorado and thought it would take much longer than it has. Of course you have to factor in saving money and having a job but if you really want it, go get it. Interview for jobs over the phone....some employers might even assist in moving costs. I've also seen a lot of rentals that allow you to divide the deposit over a few months. Positive attitude and determination will make things happen. My husband and I certainly don't make tons of money but this is where we wanted to be...happiness is invaluable. I know it's easier said than done but don't get discouraged if this is where you want to be. Best of luck!

When my daughter wanted to move to a new city and she had no money, I had her sort through our accumulated stuff from 30 years and sell it on ebay. She quickly raised enough money to finance the move. Perhaps you could try that. It's also possible to find items in garage sales that are worth much more on ebay.

I'll be moving to Woodland Park in 4 weeks...although I have been planning the move to Colorado for about 10 months...I just had a garage sale of my own and made $566 selling DVDs, extension cords and other nick nacks. You add that to saving a couple months worth of income and looking for areas where we can cut back such as not having a land line phone, reducing my satelite package, looking at a cheaper cell phone plan, etc...and things are totally possible!!! You also might try shopping for less expensive car insurance. I have actually shaved about $165 per month off my expenses just by looking at areas where I can cut back...$10 here and $15 there can go a long way to making your monthly nutt lower!!
