Any suggestions for photographers BESIDES: Walmart, Sears, Pennys?

I love the photojournalistic style of photography and read these two Colorado Springs photographers' blogs:

Cayton Photography

Destination Wedding Photographers, Colorado Portrait Photographer, Denver, Colorado Springs - Trystan Photography

I have no experience with either of them, though.

I'm sure they're a little expensive, but personally I'd rather have one *good* photo of my child than a hundred WalMart ones!

My friend, Kim Harms, is a photographer at Trystan Photography and she's excellent! I don't know what their rates are, but they give you exceptional photos. Defintely not Sears-type!

We used Family Studio for my daughter's senior photos and they were great!

For what purpose? I know a lady who is a wedding photographer I could recommend - Rose Tinucci. She also does great nature photography.

For family photos, Olan Mills is what my family used when I was growing up, with good results.

Is there a need for photgraphers in the Colorado Springs area? I'm relocating there in August and use it as a side job where I am now.

Well, what type of photographer are you and are you any good? There is room in any city if you're good!

I shoot live action mostly but also dig into classic pinup shots. I prefer to do things different than the norm.
