Default Memorial Day Events

I was wondering what events/activities are offered around the area for Memorial Day. Maybe a parade, concert in the park, flea/farmers market? They don't have to be in the springs, but with in an 1 1/2 drive time.
Thanks JoAnn

Old Colorado City has their annual Territory Days on May 23-25! I haven't been before but planning on going this year - I've heard it's lots of fun and OCC's events are usually pretty good.

The Air Force Academy holds its graduation ceremonies the Wednesday following Memorial Day. On Monday, the 25th, at 10:00, there will be the Organizational Awards Parade at the Academy's Parade Field. More impressive is the Graduation Parade on Tuesday, the 26th at 9:30. The Thuderbirds will perform at graduation itself on Wednesday morning. The Thunderbird show should kick off at 12:00. There are a lot of places you can catch their show from the East side of the Interstate. Keep your eyes over the Academy during the day or two prior to graduation, as the Thuderbirds generally have a rehearsal show or two.
