RelaxRevive is on a distinguished road
Default Child Friendly Neighborhood in COS

My family will be moving from Japan to COS in a few months we are thinking of getting out of the Military and setting down roots in the area. I have been looking at neighborhoods and so far the north east seems nice. School Districts 20, 38, 12 and 49(academy, lewis-palmer, cheyenne mountain and falcon) all look like good areas.

I was wondering how the waste management and recycling programs are in these areas? Also are the residential areas in close proximity to parks grocery stores and markets I would love to live in a neighborhood where it would be feasible to walk or ride my bike to the grocery store or to grab some lunch.

I was excited to see there are lots of farmers markets in the area. One of the first things we plan to attend when we arrive is the Harvest festival at Rock Ledge Ranch (it sounds like something my children will love)

My children are still very young not quite school aged but as we plan on staying in the area the school zones are high on our list of priorities.

I would love to hear a locals perspective on these neighborhoods.

You have picked very nice areas. There are parks everywhere. We have several waste management companies in town for you to choose from. The majority of them offer recycling programs. You can also deposit recyclable items as local Walmarts that have recycle bins. Welcome to the area and you are going to love our little piece of heaven!
