What's a good hair salon to get blonde highlights, please help me females!
Hi, Im back again with another question. Anyone can answer me female or male. Ok, my question is, where in Colorado Springs I can go to get good blonde highlights? I need a hair salon that will listen to what I have to say and that wont like brainwash me to whatever they want to do to my hair. For the price, well usually is expensive but price is not a problem. I just want it to look good and professional you know not no home-made highlights. Well that's the info that I need, please anyone answer me back because I need to do this soon. Thank you and I hope to hear from someone soon!

To be completely honest, I go to Noble which is a beauty school on academy. I've never once had a problem with them in the many many times I've been there and I get highlights all the time plus an all over color on the nape of my neck. I have long hair so it gets expensive to go to "professional" salons for me and here is how i look at it -
The price you pay doesn't always guarantee quality of the job. I once paid $150 to have my hair highlighted and the girl literally ruined my hair! And she'd be doing hair for 20 years. She insisted that it was perfectly fine and yet it was beyond her to see that the highlights weren't blonde but instead ORANGE!
At an academy/school the students tend to be pretty precise because they're still learning how to measure everything and double checking themselves. Not to mention, they have an instructor looking over their shoulder and making sure they are following proper procedure.
So, I can't justify paying $100+ when I really am at just as much of a risk as if I went to a school and paid $30. Plus, with color, it can typically be fixed if it's messed up.
Albeit, they are students so they don't necessarily know everything there is to know (then again many pros don't either) but if you book with a school just ask them if there's a student that is better skilled at what you're booking for, and definitely ask for someone that's about the graduate. They typically know all the students rather well and can make very good suggestions.
Like I said, I've had great experience at Noble. I just got back from 6 months in London and people loved my hair there. I even had a few stylists ask if I could sit in their studio so they could practice recreating my cut and color on their models....and this was the color I got at Noble before leaving for the UK.
Hope that helps.

I use Ronni, she used to be at Viva Salon off Hwy 115. However, she has opened her own shop. She used to work at the Grand Floridian at Disney and knows all kinds of hair. She is educated- working on her masters degree...a wonderful lady. You can email her- roni4school@yahoo.com. I hesitate to hand out her cell number on here but I am sure she will let you know the best way to get ahold of her.
Good luck!
