The BEST dog park is Bear Creek d.p.: http://adm.elpasoco.com/NR/rdonlyres...p_dog_park.pdf Also, you have the whole National Forest!

The Bear Creek Dog Park is nice also because little dogs can be segregated from the big dogs. It's also much larger than the one in Briargate.

FYI, Colorado Springs is consistently ranked as one of the most, or THE most pet-friendly/dog-friendly city in the U.S. See for example: America's Most Pet-Friendly Cities - Forbes.com

Several people have mentioned the Dog Park at Bear Creek Regional Park, which is great. There are also Dog Park areas in Palmer Park (small-ish) and Red Rocks Open Space. I'm very sure there are others. Basically, if you want Sparky to get some exercise off-leash, you have a lot of different opportunities to do so.

I think I recall one down in Metcalf Park in Fountain, also. But I see people with dogs not on leashes just about everywhere.

Thanks everyone for all your information! I live in a WI town that has only one not-so-good dog park, so I'm really looking forward to having all the choices...and the beautiful scenery!! Thanks again!

my fav
We recently visited CoS and the best dog park for our 2 Alaskan Malamutes was Rampart because it is very large and completely fenced in. Bear Creek was very nice but only for VERY obedient dogs as the park is not completely fenced.
We drove by Palmer park, which according to what I read about it, it said it was completely fences, but when we got there it wasn't. I also read other bad reviews about it, such as more agressive dogs and even people taking there dogs there to fight.
So wherever you take your dog in this beautiful city have tons of fun!
