Default Best neighborhood to move to?

Hi everyone. We recently moved to Co. Springs from Florida, and are now living in the Broadmoor area, which we really do love, but we are wanting to move into a bigger place this summer. My question is, is the Broadmoor area the best place to live in the Springs or should we look elsewhere? We are looking for a part of the city that is low crime, kind of conservative, and that has excellent schools. We are planning on having children soon and want them to go to private schools, since that is what my husband and I attended...so is there an area that has everything we want...or are we already in it? Thanks!

Rebecca

There are many areas that would suit the bill. Broadmoor area is one of them.

Well we really want a great house, so our price range is up to about 750k. It doesn't have to be the biggest house or the fanciest area, we just want a neighboorhood where we feel safe raising a family, and that has great schools.

You can find all that for a lot less than 750k and have most of the city to look in.

Otowi is correct. However, if you want the most prestigous neighborhood, the Broadmoor area is the wealthiest and most elite area. I wouldn't say it is less crime or has a better school system than areas like D20, D38, or some of D11 (Garden of the Gods area).
Let me put it this way, if I won the lotto and could buy anywhere, I still don't know if I would buy in the Broadmoor area...I would actually have to search around for my favorite home. Meaning, other areas in town are just as beautiful. But yes, the Broadmoor is the area that screams money.

Low crime? Check out Woodland Park, $750 will get you a nice house with a great Pikes Peak view.

I'm with Eric on this one...if I had that kind of money to spend on a house...or if I could start over and move here again, I'd do Woodland Park. Its our best kept secret!
