Fort Carson or Fort Lewis?
My hubby has the choice of PCSing to Fort Carson or Fort Lewis (Tacoma, WA)
I'm trying to research both areas....I realized I may be a biased forum but can anyone seriously tell me pros and cons of Fort Carson and/or Fort Lewis?
My main criteria for myself are:
Major university/college nearby? (Mass communication/journalism major)
U.S. Navy Reserve drilling unit nearby where I can drill?
Also, just trying to get a feel for the place, like the people, the culture, etc...we're pretty chill people who are into the irish/bluegrass/rockabilly/punk scene, pretty versatile. We like dive bars but we also like to dress up and do some wine tasting once in a while...just looking for a versatile enough city, is Colorado Springs the right place?
