Smile Traffic and driving from CS to Pueblo?

Hi all,

I'm considering relocating to CS and making a commute to Pueblo 4-5 days per week. I'd appreciate any feedback you have regarding the commute time (from the 83/Palmer Park area), alternative routes, etc. All I have is my info from Google maps that indicates its a 45 minute drive, though no traffic indicators, etc...
Thanks so very, very much!

That's about right. Most traffic on I-25 would be inbound to COLO SPGS in the morning and outbound in the evening, thus you'd have an easier time of traveling against the flow.

Thanks, Mike! Sounds good, though it is a nursing program in Pueblo that I'm interested in, so as much as I'd like to be going 'with the flow' of traffic, in some cases it wouldn't be a reality (clinicals take various shapes and sizes (days and times)!
Enjoy your week!

If you are going to work in Pueblo you might as well live in Pueblo as well. The houses are cheaper, school are good and over cost of living is lower. Look at this thread for information on Pueblo....

I live in Security/Widefield and the commute to Pueblo is very pleasant and often shorter than going to the north end of the Springs. For instance going to UCCS vs. going to CSU Pueblo are same in time although UCCS is physically closer.

Cool back route from Colorado Springs-Pueblo (scenic country route)

There's a back road if there's traffic on the highway or construction or something or if you'd rather just take a more scenic off highway route

you Exit on exit 128 onto 87/85 N - (Fountain / Fountain Valley Co)
turn R on W Illionis Ave. then R onto S Main St. which turns into Old Pueblo Rd.
follow Old Pueblo Road to the turn off with Hanover Rd.
Veer Left onto Hanover Rd
to S. Meridian Rd and turn R onto S. meridian
Follow S. Meridian which turns into Overton Rd.
all the way into Pueblo

its a scenic country drive but few street lights

follow along with Google Maps
