Default Black Forest Horse Property

Hi,

I own a nice 5 acre horse property in Black Forest which I have been renting the past couple years as I live now in Norman, OK. I've had great renters but they will be moving into their own Black Forest home in September so I am trying to decide whether to put it on the market again or continue to rent while the economy recovers.

This property has a barn and nice fenced pastures but is more attractive to someone who wants to use it for a couple horses and a few pets. I don't think traditional marketing through the local papers or Colorado Springs magazines exposes me to the right market for this house.

Can anyone in the Black Forest area give me some ideas how best to market this house? Also, I chose not to put the house on the market due to the economic downturn in Colorado. Are things doing better now in Black Forest.

Hey there!

Well, if you are going to rent I would suggest. Craigslist, militarybyowner.com and rentals.com. Those are the 3 best sites for rental. Hardly anybody looks in the paper anymore. As for selling it. I guess it depends on how much you want to get out of it. I would encourage you to talk to a realtor and see what they feel you could get for it, then way out the pro's and con's off both.
